Referrals and Medicare
Please enquire about availability via website enquiry.
Self-referrals are accepted.
Medicare Referrals:
If you get a Gp referral, you will be eligible for 10 Medicare rebates per annum*. Usually you will get 6 sessions, followed by a Gp review, which entitles you to a further 4 sessions. Medicare currently pays a rebate of $137.05.
* Please consider that long-term concerns are unlikely to be ‘fixed’ in ten sessions, and to regard the Medicare funded sessions as being a supporting part in resolving your concerns and well-being. You may be able to claim some money back from private health insurance once you have used your 10 Medicare subsidized sessions.
Couple Therapy does not attract Medicare Rebates, however, you may be able to claim some money back through private health insurance.
